ABOUT ABOUT

Join the Women For a Sustainable Philadelphia for an evening of networking, industry expert guest speakers, and discussion around our water systems and what we need to know and what we can do as citizens in our communities.

At this event, we'll have the following guest speakers to help us learn more about our city's watersheds, the cleanliness of our drinking water, Green City Clean Waters, and more:

Julie Slavet - Executive Director of Tookany/Tacony Frankford Watershed

Stephanie Wein - Water and Conservation Advocate at PennEnvironment

Amy Liu - AICP, Watersheds Planner in the Green Stormwater Infrastructure Unit at the Philadelphia Water Department

Drinks and appetizers will be provided.

We are excited to be partnered with Single Prop Rum for this event. This rum made with real coconut water was discovered by hopping among the islands of the Caribbean in a small, single prop airplane. Single Prop discovered and fell in love with a local tradition: slicing open a fresh coconut and pouring in some locally made rum.The company set out on our own adventure to create a product to pay homage to this local favorite.

The company strives to band together with people like them — fans of great spirits and also all the wonders our Earth has to offer — and educate the world on the detrimental effect that single-use plastic straws have on our environment, especially our oceans.
